We recommend retorquing your UTV wheel lug nuts after approximately 20 miles from the first installation and every 100 miles thereafter to ensure proper torque specifications are met. Always use a quality torque wrench and follow your vehicle's OEM specs for appropriate foot-pounds requirements.

What happens if I don't tighten my lugs? Can't be that dangerous ... right?
Why re-torque lug nuts?

Beadlock hardware needs to be retightened to 18 ft-lbs before each ride.

We recommend all beadlock bolts be torqued or retorqued to 18 ft lbs before EACH RIDE. Beadlocks UTV wheels require diligent maintenance to perform properly. Please retorque each bolt before going out for a ride for optimal safety.

It is always recommended to have a professional at a local wheel and tire shop or vehicle dealership mount your beadlock wheels and tires. They've done it a 1000x and have the expertise, tools, and machines to make the process simple, cost-effective, and most importantly, safe. If you're stubborn and want to do it yourself, you must acknowledge the risks involved

The link below provides an easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide to installing bead lock kits at home.

How to install beadlock wheels

Each product has a life cycle, some longer and some shorter. When a product reaches the end of its life cycle, it is moved to the Legacy Collection. Please contact (602) 935-0009 if you're looking to purchase any product in the Legacy Collection. Although there is no guarantee we have inventory, if you're looking for a replacement wheel, we may have small quantities.

Valor Offroad Legacy

Valor Offroad prides it's brand on being one of the lightest UTV wheel manufacturers in the powersports industry. There is a reason why most brands do not list weight on their UTV wheels. Valor Offroad always publishes a verified weight for EVERY product to ensure you have all the facts, specs, and information you need to make an informed buying decision. Valor Offroad's wheel collection has several non-beadlock UTV wheels that are under 14 lbs, and several beadlock UTV wheels under 16 lbs, making the Valor Offroad wheel collection the lightest UTV wheels in the industry.

Lightweight UTV Wheels

While "wheels" and "rims" are both considered interchangeable, they each have specific meanings that refer to parts or sections of parts on vehicles. If you are from a region or state that refers to them as wheels, it can be quite confusing when you hear someone call them rims. On the other hand, if you and your buddies are used to calling an offroad vehicle a "bike", it can be just as perplexing to hear someone refer to theirs as a "machine".

Slang aside, it's important to understand what the terms "wheels" and "rims" actually refer to, so that you can sound like you know what you're talking about the next time you're discussing your favorite styles.

The truth is, "rims" are actually just one part of the full wheel. The rim is the outer edge of the UTV wheel (sometimes called the lip) that holds the tire in place. It is the outer circular design that surrounds the decorative area of the wheel's hub and spokes. The tire's edges actually lie against the rim, specifically the tire bead.

The wheel is the entire circular piece of metal that includes the spokes, lug nuts, and other parts that keep the tire attached to the vehicle. The tire is wrapped around the wheel, which turns the tire and provides traction, enabling the vehicle to move.

Why do people call wheels rims?

The best guess for why people mistakenly refer to wheels as rims is that aftermarket wheels come in dramatic designs that often feature a variety of rim styles: low-offsetmid-offsethigh-offset, and wide stance UTV wheels. Instead of using a generic term like wheels, the slang for wheels became rims, reflecting the variety of wheel rims available for purchase.

The Source

A vehicle's total weight is the sum of all of its parts and affects its ability to accelerate, brake, and corner. Reducing the vehicle's total weight enhances performance because less weight needs to be controlled, and therefore less energy is required. Unsprung weight is the weight under the springs that moves up and down as the vehicle rides over uneven roads and leans in the corners.

Reducing unsprung weight allows springs and shock absorbers to be more effective in controlling suspension movement. Additionally, a vehicle's rotational weight includes all parts that spin, including everything in the vehicle's driveline from the engine's crankshaft to its wheels and tires. This affects the energy required to change speed as the vehicle accelerates and brakes. As you would guess, reducing the weight of any of these rotating components will enhance the vehicle's performance because less energy will be required to increase or decrease their speed.

Conclusion

As we've shown above, weight truly matters to overall performance, but how you choose to reduce your gross vehicle weight is up to you. Leave the full cooler at home = -20 pounds.  Plus size to 35" tires instead of 32" = +50 pounds. Leave your spare wheel/tire combo at home = -40 pounds. It's all a game of stealing pounds to justify pounds in other places.

The one thing to always keep in mind when deciding where and when to cut weight is NEVER to sacrifice safety or tools. Have the tools you need to get you out of a pinch (medical, flat tire, break, leak, jump), so you and your passengers can get back to the trailhead.

Valor Offroad Specs

We recommend asking a few questions to yourself before you purchase beadlock wheels (well, really ANY aftermarket UTV accessory). It's important to make a decision based on needs rather than wants; you'll sink too much money into your machine that you could've otherwise used for routine maintenance and for inevitable damage/parts repair/replacement.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Where will I be driving my UTV/ATV? Do I NEED any of the beadlock wheel attributes?
  • Do I plan to air down your tires periodically or permanently to tackle rough terrain?
  • Do I have an onboard air compressor? If you air down to crawl, you'll need to air back up to the manufacturer's specs to send it at 65MPH; otherwise, you risk a catastrophic blowout.
  • Do I know how to reseat a tire bead on trail?
  • Do I enjoy wrenching on my machine? Beadlock wheels require routine maintenance to ensure all bolts are correctly torqued.
  • Have I discussed this purchase with my partner (haha, just kidding...kinda)?

Beadlock Pros:

  • You can air down. Like, way down, allowing you significant traction boost because your tire now conforms to any obstacle, increasing surface area, and boosting your vehicle's ability to crawl over anything.
  • Billet beadlock ring is stronger than traditional aluminum, which means you can punish them in areas you wouldn't dare take a one-piece.
  • They just look awesome.

Beadlock Cons:

  • Because beadlock wheels are bomb-proof, there is more engineering, hardware, and parts. Unfortunately, all of that adds up to more weight for your machine. We're talking a few pounds; however, add a few pounds across all your vehicle's accessories, and it can add up over time. Pick parts you're willing to sacrifice a little extra weight on, as long as you can identify a performance improvement. Beadlock wheels are a no brainer, if you think you need them, get them.
  • Because a beadlock wheel has several parts, your price will also increase. Expect to pay much more for a beadlock wheel compared to a one-piece aluminum wheel. You're not just paying for marketing; your new beadlock wheels have built-in features that more than justify the steep price.

Do I need Beadlock Wheels?

We get this question a lot. Many people still prefer backspacing to offset.

Offset:

  • Wheel offset is measured as the distance between the centerline and the hub mounting surface (the back of the wheel face). It is measured in millimeters.
  • Offset plays a significant role in determining a wheel's appearance. UTV wheels with a low or negative offset often make the wheel's surface more concave and, depending on how aggressive the wheel is, create a deep lip. Offset not only affects how the wheel fits on a vehicle but also plays a significant part in determining its style.

Backspacing:

  • Instead of measuring from the wheel's centerline, backspacing is the distance between the hub mounting surface and the wheel's backside.
  • Backspace is less precise, using inches as primary measurement, while offset is exact, using millimeters as primary measurement.

Correct offset and backspacing allow enough room for the suspension, brake, tires, and steering systems to operate without interference from the wheel. Below you'll find numbers that correspond to how your UTV wheels will mount to your vehicle's hub assembly. Depending on the wheel offset or backspacing you select, the wheels may push past the OEM width, remain stock, or tuck under your fender. This wheel assembly movement is achieved solely through wheel offset and backspacing, without any other modifications to your suspension or vehicle.

Why is this important?

If you're like most brand-new UTV customers, you probably want to keep your suspension and vehicle width close to stock. The thought is that your vehicle's manufacturer spent thousands of hours (and dollars) engineering the perfect geometry. Knowing your UTV's OEM offset will help you find aftermarket UTV wheels that come as close as possible to OEM fitment.

Some of you may have bought a 64" wide base but want more overall width. In this case, you'd benefit from a low-offset wheel to push the wheels out, thereby improving your overall width without incurring additional costs (other than the cost of new wheels).

No matter your preference, we put together a super easy-to-follow guide to explain the difference.

Wheel Backspacing vs Offset

How do you know if your new UTV wheels will fit your specific make/model of UTV or ATV? By memorizing a handful of bolt patterns that fit all makes/models.

Unlike the automotive industry, we are lucky to have only a small handful of bolt patterns to memorize. It's good practice to know your specific make/model's bolt pattern in case you need a spare, need to replace parts, or are communicating with help if you're in a pinch. Before we jump into what bolt patterns are out in the wild, let's get a quick 101 on why bolt patterns exist and what makes each of them unique.

Your vehicle's bolt pattern is one of, if not the, first criteria to consider when determining whether a wheel will fit your car. The bolt pattern is the number and spacing of the lug hole openings, which will match the vehicle hub’s corresponding stud or bolt pattern measurement.

Imagine a circle that intersects each stud or bolt hole. The number of holes and the diameter of that circle (sometimes expressed in inches, sometimes in millimeters) combine to form the bolt pattern. Measuring a bolt pattern can be straightforward for a 4-lug wheel, as you can measure from the center of one opening straight across to the other. However, odd-numbered patterns, like the Polaris RZR Pro R's five-bolt pattern, add another step.

On even bolt patterns (4-lug, 6-lug), measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. On odd-numbered bolt patterns (5-lug), measure from the very top of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it.

A couple of the most common bolt patterns are 4x156 (four lugs with a 156mm spacing) and 4x137 (four lugs with a 137mm spacing).

Note: You may see the bolt pattern shown in several different ways. If you see Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD) or Bolt Circle, it simply references your bolt pattern.

What's a bolt pattern?

A dual-drilled wheel is one drilled with two sets of bolt holes. With this additional set of holes, dual drill wheels can accept two different bolt patterns. On all dual-drill wheels, the larger hub bore of the two bolt patterns is used to ensure proper fitment.

Dual Drill Wheels

To design high-performance UTV wheels, the focus is heavily on engineering two main points: design and weight. Sometimes weight is sacrificed for design, but more often than not, each Valor Offroad style embodies the best of both. Lower weight can be achieved through purposeful design or by using a variety of manufacturing processes to remove unnecessary material. In the design process, our intent is to improve the appearance of your machine, no matter which model or trim level you choose.

One of the areas that makes a big difference in wheel design is removing the bulky lug holes that come stock with your OEM wheels. Purposeful, yes, but a larger lug hole can restrain design and actually bulk the spoke, adding unnecessary weight in the process. We shrink the lug hole diameter on Valor Offroad wheels, allowing more opportunity to elongate spokes, reduce weight, and drastically improve overall design.

Why do I need new lug nuts?

First step

Park your machine in the shade and let your vehicle and wheels cool before you decide to clean them. If your wheels or vehicle are too hot, the soap can dry before you can wash it off, leaving spots (sometimes permanent) or a film that, ironically enough, attracts more dirt and debris the next time you ride. If it's hot outside, clean your wheels one at a time so you can rinse each before the soap dries.

Mild soap and water solution

You can invest in plenty of great aftermarket products that claim to clean your SXS wheels. However, we recommend keeping things simple and using a simple, mild soap and water solution combined with a soft or microfiber sponge. Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, stiff brushes, or polishing compounds, as these could remove the protective clear coat or even the paint finish. Wipe your wheels dry with a clean microfiber towel.

So what exactly is a "mild" soap, you ask? Good question. When we talk about mild soap, we're referring to simple dish soap you'd use to clean grandma's best plates. Skip the lemony scents and stick to the original recipe for best results. Just like washing your dishes, grab a bucket of warm water and add a squirt or two of mild dish soap. After a thorough pre-rinse to remove grit and debris, use a soft sponge or microfiber towel to clean the nooks and crannies of your wheel and all exposed areas. Yes, that means the backside of your spokes and the rear inner barrel.

Once you give your wheel a good scrub, quickly rinse and repeat as necessary, then move on to the next wheel. Don't forget to scrub your utv tires while cleaning your wheels. This gives you a chance to check the tread and shoulder for separation, cracks, or potential issues that could kill your next ride. When in doubt, get new tires, never assume the best - always anticipate the worst.

Second step

We recommend using a soft towel to clean your UTV wheels after a bath. Dirt and debris will inevitably remain on your wheels, so a good wipe-down afterwards will ensure the paint finish is bright and shiny—many products on the market claim to "protect" your wheels' finish after washing. In our experience, these just add a sticky film that attracts more dirt. Just wash often and skip the BS.

You can always dry them after a wash (it happens), but getting that layer of grime off your wheels will ensure they last a lifetime. By keeping up with cleaning not only your wheels but your entire vehicle, you prolong the life of every component and moving piece. You spent all of that hard-earned cash on a nice new UTV or ATV; take care of it!

How to clean wheels

You have loads of options on the market, right? So why choose Valor Offroad for your next UTV wheels, UTV tires, or UTV Accessory purchase?

Our brand is about adhering to authenticity. We know we might not check everyone's box, and that's ok with us. We will tirelessly pursue our version(s) of perfection and adhere to a pillar of our brand ethos: honesty. Honest in our marketing. Honest in our pricing. Honest in our relationships with both our vendors and all of our customers.

We believe that each outdoor experience is unique, and our products are specifically designed to enhance the journey. Over-engineered to exceed testing in the Rocky Mountains, all Valor Offroad products are designed to deliver a lifetime of performance for a lifetime of memories.

What Makes Valor Different

Other

Valor Offroad was founded on a simple but important premise: build products that earn their place in the harshest conditions on earth. Not by marketing claims, but by performance, durability, and trust—earned mile after mile, trail after trail.

The Valor Offroad customer lives the off-road lifestyle, not merely observes it. From rocky desert trails and snow-covered mountain passes to muddy backwoods and long-haul overland routes, Valor Offroad exists for drivers who expect more from their equipment and refuse to compromise when the terrain is unforgiving.

Our name is not an accident. “Valor” represents courage, resilience, and the commitment to push forward when conditions are difficult. Those values guide everything we design, build, support, and stand behind.

Our Purpose

Off-roading is not just a hobby. It is exploration. It is problem-solving. It is the pursuit of places that cannot be reached by paved roads or comfort alone.

Valor Offroad exists to create wheels, tires, and unique off-road products that are:

  • Structurally strong where and when it matters
  • Engineered for real-world abuse, we expect scratches, scars, and abuse. That's what our products are for.
  • Designed with functional performance as the first priority
  • Styled to look good, clean, but look even better after a long day on the trail

We believe off-road equipment should not be disposable, trendy, or overcomplicated. It should be dependable, serviceable, and confidence-inspiring—gear you can trust when you are hours from cell service and miles from help.

A Brand Built by Enthusiasts

Too many products in the off-road world are built for looks first and durability second. We saw a gap between what serious drivers actually need and what the market was offering. So we decided to build our own products to meet our high expectations.

From the beginning, Valor Offroad has been shaped by people who:

  • Drive their vehicles hard
  • Break parts
  • Learn from those failures
  • And then design something better

Every product we create reflects that mindset: Make better products.

Our Products

Valor Offroad specializes in wheels and off-road-focused components designed for ATV, UTV, and SXS purpose-built off-road vehicles.

Wheels Built for Real Use

Our wheels are engineered around three core principles:

  1. Strength First – Load ratings, impact resistance, and structural integrity come before styling decisions.
  2. Practical Design – Proper offsets, brake clearance, and real-world fitment matter more than exaggerated dimensions.
  3. Durability in Harsh Environments – Finishes, coatings, and materials are selected to survive dirt, salt, rocks, and weather—not just showroom lighting.

We focus on:

  • Off-road appropriate offsets and widths
  • Reinforced spoke and barrel structures
  • Finishes designed to resist scratching, chipping, and fading
  • Fitments for all modern powersports vehicles (ATV, UTV, and SXS)

Design Philosophy

At Valor Offroad, design is not about excess. It is about purpose.

We believe good design should:

  • Communicate strength
  • Reduce unnecessary complexity
  • Improve performance
  • Age well, both visually and structurally

Our aesthetic is inspired by:

  • Military and industrial equipment
  • Classic offroad design
  • The idea that form should follow function

That is why you will see:

  • Strong, not overly complex spoke profiles
  • Clean, purposeful surfaces
  • Spoke angles are intentionally designed to make cleaning easy and fast

Engineering and Quality Control

Every product we release goes through:

  • Engineering validation
  • Load and stress testing
  • Impact and fatigue simulations
  • Real-world use and feedback loops

We work with industry partners who understand that off-road components are not fashion accessories. They are structural parts that carry weight, absorb impacts, and must perform repeatedly under stress. Our test phase puts all our products through a brutal battery of real-world use-case scenarios before final approval.

We maintain strict standards for:

  • Material quality
  • Casting and machining consistency
  • Finish durability
  • Packaging and shipping protection

If a product does not meet our standards, it does not get the Valor name.

Built for How People Actually Drive

Not everyone who buys off-road equipment prefers floating on sand dunes. Not everyone prefers rock crawling to wide-open. Regardless of your trail preference, we feel that everyone deserves professional-grade equipment that is overbuilt for the worst day, not just adequate for the average one.

The Meaning of Valor

Valor is not about recklessness. It is about preparedness.

  • It is the confidence to take the longer road because you trust your equipment.
  • It is the willingness to keep going because your gear has proven itself before.
  • It is the quiet assurance that comes from using products built to endure.

That mindset is embedded in our brand.

Our Commitment to Customers

We do not believe in one-time transactions. We believe in long-term trust.

Our commitment:

  • Honest product descriptions and specifications
  • Transparent fitment guidance
  • Support after the sale, not just before it

We want our customers to come back not because they have to, but because they trust us.

Looking Forward

Valor Offroad is not interested in being the biggest brand. We are interested in being one of the most respected.

Our future is focused on:

  • Expanding our product line responsibly
  • Continuing to refine our engineering standards
  • Supporting new vehicle platforms as the market evolves
  • Staying true to our core purpose: building serious equipment for serious use

We will continue to listen to drivers, builders, and customers who use our products in the real world—and we will continue to improve because of them.

Welcome to the Family

  • Valor Offroad is for those who believe that capability matters.
  • For those who understand that durability is not optional.
  • For those who go farther, not just faster.

We build for the road less traveled—and the trails that barely qualify as roads at all.
