Developed, engineered and manufactured in the United States, the Alpha is truly unlike any utv tire on the market.

This isn't our first rodeo. We've been manufacturing UTV specific tires for over 15 years. We developed the Alpha UTV tire from the ground up, overthinking every aspect along the way. Each Alpha tire is proudly made in the United States by skilled technicians.

Alpha UTV Tire Specs

All Alpha UTV tire sizes were developed to measure true to size. Most tires aren't. Make sure you get what you paid for with an American made true to size performance tire.

Overall Diameter
30x9.50R14 - 30.00" @ 15psi
32x10.00R15 - 32.10" @ 15psi
35x10.00R15 - 35.10" @ 15psi

Overall Width
30x9.50R14 - 10.00" @ 15psi
32x10.00R15 - 10.15" @ 15psi
35x10.00R15 - 10.80" @15 psi

All Alpha UTV tire weights are for the tire ONLY and do not include wheel. All tires are made by hand so there may be slight weight variances of up to 2% (+/-)

30x9.50R14 - 43.00 lbs
32x10.00R15 - 45.50 lbs
35x10.00R15 - 57.50 lbs

30x9.50R14: 18mm tread depth (0.70")
32x10.00R15: 20mm tread depth (0.78")
35x10.00R15: 20mm tread depth (0.78")

The Alpha has two options for durometer ratings, the H1 (65A) and the H2 (55A). Depending on what terrain you plan on tackling, your durometer rating will make a hg difference.

H1 (65A) - All-terrain, hardpack, fast, street/city use, with extra ong tread life. Users can expect upwards of 4,000 miles with the H1 compound.

H2 (55A) - Rock crawling, technical obstacles, and slickrock, giving drivers an expert level grip with zero slip. Users can expect 2500+ miles on the H2 compound.

What are durometer ratings?

No. The Valor Alpha UTV Tire is not a DOT certified tire.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) and All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) tires offered for sale in the United States incorrectly labeled and marketed as being compliant with DOT Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) are prohibited.

This means that the symbol “DOT” cannot appear on any ATV, UTV, or Not for Highway Service (NHS) tire. Only tires intended for a vehicle certified to the FMVSS are legally permitted to be marked with “DOT” and may be marketed as conforming to the FMVSS.

Language that tires are “approved,” “certified,” or “compliant” with DOT standards are also prohibited per FMVSS standards.

Refer to NHTSA and FMVSS statement below:

According to 49 U.S.C. § 30102, a “motor vehicle” is defined as: (7) ‘‘motor vehicle’’ means a vehicle driven or drawn by mechanical power and manufactured primarily for use on public streets, roads, and highways, but does not include a vehicle operated only on a rail line.

Based on this definition, there are no FMVSS that apply to UTV or ATV tires, because UTVs and ATVs are not manufactured for use on public roadways. Additionally, 49 C.F.R. § 574, Tire Identification and Recordkeeping states:

49 C.F.R. § 574.5(e)(1) - The DOT symbol constitutes a certification that the marked tire conforms to an applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. And:

49 C.F.R. § 574.5(e)(3) – The DOT symbol must not appear on tires to which no Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard is applicable.

All Alpha UTV Tires are 8-ply Radial

What does radial mean on a tire?

The Valor Alpha tire follows the NHS/TRA speed/load index specifications.

Tires that have NHS in the tire size or designated on sidewall are designed for off highway applications ONLY. They must not be used in normal highway service. NHS tires are not intended for the speeds, temperatures, or stresses of highway use.

Example: VAT-321000R15H1

VAT: Valor Alpha Tire
32: Overall Diameter
1000: Tire Width (10.00")
R: Radial
15: Fits any 15" wheel
H1: Compound

EXAMPLE: VAT-321000R15H1

  • VAT - Valor Alpha Tire
  • 32 - Tire diameter
  • 1000 - Tire width (10")
  • R - Radial construction
  • 15 - Wheel diameter
  • H1 - Tire compound

Tire diameter refers to the overall diameter/height of the tire. For SxS specific tires, the tire diameter is always in inches and is typically the spec that people refer to when they talk about tires.

Tire width refers to the width of the tire's contact patch or aspect ratio. This measurement is important for people who have vehicle width limitations (trailer or garage) as the wider the tire, the wider your vehicle will end up. 9-10" is a very common width range for SxS specific tires.

Radial construction tires are built with cords, or plies, that run perpendicular to the direction of travel, and belts under the tread. This gives them a smoother ride and helps prevent heat build-up, which can make the tires last longer. If your tire is not Radial, you have bias-ply tires which are built with plies that are layered so they crisscross over each other. This creates a more rugged design, with greater puncture resistance in the sidewall.

Wheel diameter refers to the available wheel diameter. In this example, a 15" wheel was engineered to work with this tire size. SxS wheels are typically 7" wide so the preferred wheel for this tire would be a 15x7".

Tire compound refers to what materials/ingredients are used during manufacturing process to produce attributes like stiffness, rebound and adhesive. The H1 compound is a balanced medium soft compound with high grip and long lasting wear.

What do my tire sidewall number and marks mean?

We recommend having your wheels and tires mounted by a professional to ensure proper bead seating.

When mounting any tire to a wheel, please take notice of maximum inflation PSI specification. This spec is located on the sidewall of all tires as required by law. It is the user's responsibility to adhere to this posted specification and NEVER overinflate past manufacturer's maximum inflation PSI.

If you are having difficulty beading any tire on wheel during mounting, ALWAYS use a tire cage to pevent damage, injury or death.

Damage to property, injury or death may occur if tires are overinflated beyond maximum inflation PSI.

These tires are the best! They stick like a fly on the wall, even wet they are nothing but traction - Absolutely love them!

Select your compound

Soft or Balanced

We know not every driver is the same so we offer the Alpha is two distinct rubber compounds, the H1 or H2. The H1 (65A) compound is for all-terrain weekend warriors that are looking for balanced grip to durability without sacrificing performance. The H2 (55A) compound is for the different breed of drivers who prefer slow, technical crawls through some of the world's most difficult trails.

H1 = Balanced Compound
H2 = Soft Compound

Connect to the trail

The Alpha deploys a non-directional, massive 20mm tread across nearly 9 inches of contact patch. That translates to extreme grip in virtually any terrain. Valor Offroad’s engineering team set out to develop a UTV specific tire that can handle any terrain, while being significantly quieter at high speeds. This was accomplished using tire tread harmony, which requires each tread block to be studied and slightly adjusted in both shape and width. These minor modifications make an enormous difference for anyone planning to travel for long distances on hardpack.

The details matter

Sidewall Engineering

The detail added to the Alpha’s sidewall design doesn’t just look great, it adds an additional layer of protection and increased puncture resistance. The deep, 360 degree sidewall crown reduces flex when airing down is the only option.

Shoulder Lugs

Maintain forward traction with the Alpha’s aggressive shoulder side lugs which add an extra biting edge when you need it most. Stone ejectors are strategically placed between shoulder lugs for optimal armor.

Choose Your Compound

Soft or Medium

Striking a balance between durability and performance can be tricky. That's why we have TWO compounds available in the Alpha to give you choices.

The H1 is a balanced compound with a 65A durometer rating that gives you the bite you want when you need it, and the durability to last for thousands of trail miles.

The H2 is a soft compound with a 55A durometer rating. This compound is exactly what you need for rock crawling or root busting.
